New Youth Partnership

23 August 2021

We are delighted to announce a new 'Youth Club Partnership' (YCP) programme,  which will see Hartlepool United collaborate with grass roots football clubs within the town to help re-establish local community relationships and create new pathways for youth boys and girls football.

The YCP will see grassroots clubs benefit from ticketing initiatives designed to engage young fans, opportunities for the young players to be ball boys at HUFC games, coaching development support for grassroots coaches, player appearances at community events amongst other partnership initiatives. The YCP will also provide the building blocks of future youth football development programmes.

With support from the “Hart Of Our club 1908” the club are now able to announce partnership with Seaton Carew FC, St Francis FC, Pools Youth FC, Greatham FC and FC Hartlepool. Hartlepool United - Dave Challinor

Developing our youth set up is something I’ve spoke about many times before. It’s important we have this initiative to not just help improve grassroots football in the town but also re-build partnerships between the club and these youth sides. All these coaches obviously put a lot of time and effort into creating a great set up for young boys and girls and we certainly want to help in any way we can.

HOOC1908 Supporters Group – Marty Hewitt

“Reflecting on all the HOOC1908 projects currently in the pipeline, this project initiative was a particular pleasing challenge. HOOC1908 helped get a selection of grass roots football clubs together in collaboration to grow the community relationship with HUFC whilst also increasing the future fan base for both girls & boys with optimistically a pathway for some home grown first players in the years ahead”

Seaton Carew FC

“Following HOOC 1908 reach out to help re-establish local community relationship with the football club, we are delighted to be partnering up with Hartlepool United and would like to thank the club for making the process so seamless. It is a great opportunity for Seaton Carew FC to work alongside HUFC, HOOC1908 and other fantastic grassroots clubs in the town. The partnership can only benefit the development opportunities for the young players of the town. “

St Francis FC

“This is a fantastic opportunity for the young people of Hartlepool to work in partnership with our much-loved hometown club and also to show grassroots working together and been UNITED”

Pools Youth FC

"All at Hartlepool Pools Youth FC are absolutely delighted to be part of the new partnership with HUFC and look forward to increasing our links with the club for the benefit of the community we serve. We are also excited by this significant step forward in providing a pathway for youngsters involved with grass roots football to potentially represent Hartlepool United"

Greatham FC

“Greatham Football Club are proud to announce their involvement in the "Youth Club Partnership” with Hartlepool United FC.

Being a partner club in this programme will not only be beneficial to both parties but more importantly the scheme will provide increased participation in grassroots football and opportunities for talented young footballers.

GFC are excited to be involved in the scheme allowing both sides to improve and develop relationships and involvement in the community”

FC Hartlepool – Jon Gould

“FC Hartlepool are delighted to formalise our partnership with Hartlepool United FC.

It is an opportunity for us to continue to work closely together and for the clubs involved to build a strong network. We are excited to develop the relationship going forward.

It also collaborates nicely with FC Hartlepool’s partnership with the College of Further Education and the agreement for the Hartlepool United youth team to use FC’s new home facilities at Grayfields in the Town.

Both partnerships will enhance the footballing, educational and social opportunities within our town and wider community.”

The Youth Community Partnership initiative will also be open for other grassroots clubs to be involved in the future. To register your interest, e-mail enquiries@hartlepoolunited.co.uk
