We are delighted to confirm that Nicky Featherstone will be the new club captain ahead of the EFL 2021/22 season.
The midfielder has made nealy 300 appeareances for Pools and has been ever present in the side for many years.
Featherstone took the armband most of last seasons National League success in the asbsence of Ryan Donaldson.
Dave Challinor spoke about his new captain:
"An easy decision for me. Feaths has been a huge part of this squad for many years now and knows the club inside out. He obviously led the side out many times last season and it was the right fit to make him club captain ahead of our Football League journey"
Featherstone added:
"I am delighted to be named captain. It's a great honour. Obviously, I captained the side a few times last season when Ryan was absent but they will be hard shoes to fill. He was a great guy and a even better leader.
All the lads are excited for this weekend and I am looking forward to leading the team out at The Vic"
