Hartlepool United are of to winning ways as Pools took all three points on the opening day of the season against Crawley Town.
Pools first big opportunity of the game came just after 6 minutes. Featherstone clever corner found Ferguson inside the area and his effort went just wide.
On 22 minutes Holohan then found himself free at the backpost and his effort went narrowly wide. Pools dominant.
The vistors grew into the game as it went on but didnt create any clear cut chances but Pools continued to attack. Just before half time, Jamie Sterry swung a ball towards the back post and Ferguson was there to meet it but his header was just over.

Pools started the second half just like they did the first. Fela this time on 50 minutes found himself inside the area, the forward managed to wriggle past his man and have a strike on goal but Morris collected.
Tyler Burey then made his Pools debut replacing Fela and continued to look lively linking up well with Ferguson on the left hand side.
On 75 minutes Burey nearly put Pools ahead, Molyneux fired the ball across and the forward man just struck narrowly wide.
Pools found the opener on 89 minutes. Burey delivered the ball into the box and Holohan had the composure to turn his man and fire bottom corner. Pools held on for an opening day win!
