Pools sign Harvey Saunders

22 April 2021

Hartlepool United are delighted to announce the signing of Harvey Saunders.

The forward joins us on loan from League One club Fleetwood Town.

Harvey, who started from Northern League club Durham City, signed for Darlington and made his debut in January 2017. He then scored his first goal for the club against Worcester City in March 2017.

The forward well known for his electric pace and calm finishing, signed for Fleetwood under the reign of Joey Barton in January 2019.

As part of the deal, Saunders returned to Darlington for the remainder of the 2018/19 season, after signing a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club

Dave Challinor spoke about his new signing:

"I am delighted Harvey is with us until end of the season. We have tracked him for a while but just hadn't been able to get it done due to Fleetwood's league situation. He is a local lad, knows the area. It is another goal threat for us and I know he is excited to get started".

Saunders will wear the number 28
