10 September 2020

HartlepoolUnited are delighted to announce the loan signing of David Parkhouse.

The strikerjoins us from Sheffield United on a loan deal till January 2021.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland youth international

striker has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blades but has just

returned from international duty where he scored in a Euro qualifier against

Malta U21s.

Before lockdown, Parkhouse was on loan at League Two side

Stevenage but that was cut short due to COVID. During the 2018/19 season he had

a loan spell with Derry City where he scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for the

League of Ireland Premier Division side.

“We are delighted to get David in. It is somewhere on the

pitch we have been looking to strengthen and he provides us just that. He is a goal

scorer and a U21 international so I believe he can do very well in this league”.

David also spoke to us about his move to Pools:

“After seeing The Vic, I am even more excited than I ever was. This is a huge club and I want to come in, score goals and help the side as best I can”.

Parkhouse will go straight into training but will not be involved in tomorrow's fixture at Morpeth.
