Behind the Scenes update: 29th September

29 September 2020

Season Start

Over the last few days your

Club has been awaiting confirmation from the National League about plans for

the start of the 2020/21 season this coming Saturday, 3rd October. Alongside

all other National League clubs, we have provided additional information as

requested.

Formal communication fromthe National League to clubs states:

“The League must abide by the Government's

decision to exclude fans, and therefore, matches will be played "behind

closed doors", i.e. without supporters admitted, in accordance with

Government policy and Stage 3 of the elite sport protocols until further

notice.

The League is appealing to Government “with the assistance of The Football Association for each club to

receive compensation for lost net gate revenue each month for the period that

clubs are prevented from admitting supporters, … aiming to receive confirmation of theGovernment's support in advance of the season commencing next weekend (i.e. 3rdOctober).  Should this not occur,

the Board will review and reconsider its stance, and as ever, the Board will

ensure the position and views of member clubs are central to any decision

made.”

Notwithstanding the above,

Dave and the squad are preparing in full for a start this coming Saturday

against Aldershot at 3PM.

Live-Streaming

We can confirm that we will

be live-streaming all our home matches for as long as the dispensation from the

National League allows us to continue to do so, whilst crowds are restricted

under Covid-19 regulations.

The cost of the live stream

will be £9.99 per match - however all season ticket holders will receive

secured access to our streaming service free of charge.

Watch this space for

further details of how you will be able to view our match day streaming from

The Vic.

2020/21 Season TicketHolders

We fully understand that

2020/21 season ticket holders will be asking how these arrangements will affect

them. Unfortunately we simply do not have all the answers at the moment.

However, we are committed

to a continual review and evaluation of the situation as developments arise and

will we continue to do so through ongoing discussions with our supporter

groups, in the interest of every season ticket holder and all supporters

generally. The patience, understanding and ongoing financial support of every

season ticket holder is crucial in helping the Club navigate through this

uncertainty and providing Dave with the best opportunity to deliver on-field

success.

Over the next couple of

days we will no doubt be provided with the answers we all crave. As soon as we

have those full details we will share them with you.
