A 5.20 pm kick-off sees fourth take on first as Pools sit four points behind the league leaders but with a game in hand.
The Guls who finished 15th last season have currently won five out of their last six games and manager Gary Johnson will want to continue this great start to the season.
Due to a premature end to last season, Pools only played Torquay once but were victorious as they came out 2-1 winner at Plainmoor with goals from Jason Kennedy and Peter Kioso last August.
The South West based side now have former Poolie Fraser Kerr in their ranks after he was one of ten new signings to come through the door.
Pools will be bolstered by the recent news of Ryan Johnson extending his current contract and Midfielder Luke Williams signing a new deal with the club.
