BT Sport and live streaming information- Torquay

29 October 2020

Pools game this Saturday against

Torquay United will unfortunately not be available for live streaming via the

club's streaming channel, due to the protected rights of BT Sport in

broadcasting their schedule of live fixtures across the season.

We understand that whilst this will be

frustrating to many supporters, it is completely outside of our control. If you

are unable to watch the game on BT Sport we will be offering our live audio

commentary service for free via Mixlr, which is accessible on the below link:

https://mixlr.com/hartlepool-united/

For season ticket holders who have

pledged their money to the Club in advance, we are also aware that the free

streaming offered in lieu of being able to come to Victoria Park will not be

available to you.

We are however committed to ensuring

that, across the season as a whole, we honour our pledge to season ticket

holders to ensure you receive full value for the 23 fixtures you have paid for.

This will comprise a mix of actual attendance (hopefully at some point),

streamed games, vouchers for use in either the retail shop or hospitality (when

Covid restrictions permit) or other Club engagement initiatives.

The ongoing uncertainty about the

potential timing for the return of supporters to home games is a matter that

rests outside of the Club's immediate control. Given the fluid nature, and

short-term impact, of the disruptions that we continue to face, we are unable

to commit to a fixed ‘package' of offerings for season ticket holders across

the entire season at this stage – for example, we simply do not know when

spectators will be allowed back into the ground, or which future fixtures may

be covered by live broadcasting. We will however continue to assess the

situation on a regular basis in consultation with supporter group representatives

and provide you with updates as the season progresses.

Finally, we are pleased with the positive

response by supporters to the live stream of Tuesday night's game against

Altrincham. It has been necessary for us to make a number of changes to the

setup of our streaming platform behind the scenes based on feedback from

supporters and Insight4 (our streaming partners), and the comments received

regarding the improvement in the quality of the broadcast and audio was very

encouraging. We will continue to consult with our various partners to identify

further ways to improve the service.

Our next home league game against Wrexhamon Tuesday 17th November will be live streamed as usual.
