Match preview: Pools head to the Hive for the second time this season

23 November 2020

It will be the hope of third time lucky for Pools on Tuesday night as they head to The Hive looking to play out a fixture that has been arranged 3 times already this season.

Dave Challinor's men will be looking to push on from Saturday's convincing win over Yeovil as first-half goals from Molyneux, Holohan and Magloire secured a 3-1 win and three points down at Huish Park. Pools currently sit 7th in the National League, only 3 points off second place Sutton.

Barnet currently sit 20th in the league and have now gone four league games without a win. In Saturday's fixture, they were beaten 4-1 away to Woking and lost 2-0 to King's Lynn in their last home game.

Along with a new manager in Peter Beadle, nine new signings have come through the door at the hive including JJ Hooper from Wrexham and Ben Nugent from Stevenage.

The Bees got the better of Pools at The Hive last season with a 2-1 win in February after goals from McCallum and Akinola. The two sides have met 26 times in their history, Pools winning nine, drawing six and losing eleven.
