Dave Challinor felt his side didn't do enough to try and
claim all three points after getting back on level terms during Saturday's 1-1
The Pools boss was left disappointed by the scoreline in the
end given the nature of Pools' chase for the National League play-off places despite
taking a point away from home at Gander Green Lane.“It was definitely a fair result,” Challinor told Pools TV.
“But I am disappointed because I don't think we did enough.
“Maybe three or four months ago, coming here and getting a
point would be a good result but the situation we're in at the minute we need
to win games.“It was a case of throwing caution to the wind and you'd rather
win or lose than draw at the moment and I don't think we looked like a team
desperate to win.“It was poor start to the game and a mistake so we had to
move on from that and we did create some opportunities – and we should score but
we haven't.“Once we got the goal back I wanted us to go and really
throw the kitchen sink at it – and if we draw or are beaten then I would have no
problem even though I hate losing – but I don't think we did that.“We will have to look at the reasons for that but we take the point and games are starting to run out so with what we've got left we need to start winning now.”
