Pools stars Aidan Keena and Macauley Southam-Hales surprised
youngsters when they called in to see them during a recent Soccer Course
The Pools duo turned up to meet the girls and boys who were
taking part in the Half-Term course at High Tunstall College of Science in the
town.“The kids were really excited to meet the two lads,”explained Foundation Manager, Keith Nobbs.
“We had told them earlier in the day that Aidan and Macauley
were coming to meet them and you could see how much they were looking forward
to it.“The lads were brilliant when they got there – they both
joined in a passing drill and a couple of competitions, though I'm not sure
either were on the winning side!“They stayed a full hour and made time to answer some of the children's questions and then signed a few shirts and other bits and bobs too – they were brilliant and you could see how much the kids were all buzzing after they'd been.”
The next Soccer Courses organised by the Foundation are
planned for next month when girls between the ages of 5 and 12 can come along
for a week of coaching.Course 1
Monday 6th April – Thursday 9th April (9am to 3pm)
Course 2
Tuesday 14th April – Friday 17th April (9am to 3pm)
Both courses are taking place at High Tunstall College ofScience and the cost is £35 for the full week or £10 per day.
