Pools Women return to action for the first time in 2020 on
Sunday when they make the trip to face Redcar Town in the North East Regional Women's
Jonathan Gibbon-Hayes squad have enjoyed a little break in
fixtures over Christmas but will now go straight back in the cut and thrust of
their campaign at Redcar's Mo Mowlem Memorial Park. However, they will go in to the fixture without Rachael Hine
who is sidelined after suffering a head injury and Gibbon-Hayes has several
other concerns ahead of the game.“This is one of the most challenging spells I've had asmanager because we've been quite unlucky with injuries.
“We wish Racheal a speedy recovery and I am working on
things behind the scenes to see if we can get one or two in on loan to help strengthen
the squad.“Sunday is going to be a really tough test on a heavy pitch at Redcar but I am confident we have enough quality to go there and get a result to kick-off 2020 in style.”
Redcar currently sit sixth in the table, two places and three points behind Pools who will hope to close the gap on leaders Harrogate Town with a win.
Sunday's game at Redcar kicks-off at 2pm and entry is freefor all supporters.
