Dave Challinor has challenged his players to throw the
play-off race wide open by producing another strong performance at Solihull
Pools come in to the game at The SportNation.bet Stadium on
the back of a fine win over Aldershot Town which has nudged them back in to the
frame for a place in the National League's top seven. However, with the trip to Solihull followed by encounters
with fellow play-off chasers Notts County and Boreham Wood, Challinor knows that
it's a period which could make or break the campaign. The Pools chief has plenty of experience when it comes to making
the play-offs and he is confident it can happen for his squad this term if they
prove themselves in games like Saturday's at Solihull.“It's a massively important game,” Challinor told Pools TV.
“We're up against a team that are above us, in the play-offzone and know how to be successful because they were last year.
“One thing you know going there is that they're very
efficient and effective at what they do so we're going to have to be very good
out of possession and deal with what they throw at us.“We know what style we want to impose on the game but you
have to deal with those other things first – and if we do that then we're in
with a really good shot.“We go there full of confidence and in the knowledge that,
certainly in the next three games, we can really affect the teams who are above
us in the table and the ones we're trying to catch.“First and foremost though, we focus on a game on Saturday that will be a really tough one but it's also exciting because it gives us that opportunity to push ourselves further forward.”
