Solihull Moors have provided supporters with an update ahead of Pools' National League visit to The SportNation.bet Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The statement published on The Moors' Official Website on Friday evening read as follows:
“The latest weather forecast shows that we are expecting StormDennis to hit us in Solihull on Saturday afternoon with heavy rain forecast.
“As it stands, the current forecast is fairly reasonable up
until then with mainly dry weather overnight Friday into Saturday with light
showers and some sunshine for most of Saturday morning but with heavy rain forecast
from approximately 2pm.“The pitch has
had a number of preventative measures carried out on it this week to assist
with drainage.“If the forecast remains as is, we are hopeful the match will goahead.
“However, in the event the weather is worse than forecasted
and/or the heavy rain comes earlier, we have a local referee on standby to
carry out a pitch inspection if required.“We are in full consultation with Hartlepool United, the matchreferee and The National League.
“The club's
safety team will also be monitoring weather conditions tomorrow on safety
grounds and shall confer with The National League if this course of action is
necessary.”
