The Club's Community Sports Foundation are celebrating the
impact that young people from Hartlepool have had in the community with NCS
Our fixture with Aldershot Town has been designated as our
#NCSMatchday, an awareness-raising campaign surrounding the hugely successful
National Citizen Service scheme for youngsters aged between 15 and 17.In 2019, young people from the EFL Trust's network delivered
over 650 social action projects, volunteered over 260,000 hours of social
action and raised over £230,000 for local charities and good causes. This
includes over 4,200 hours and £3,000 raised by young people working directly
with our Community Sports Foundation at Pools. This Saturday's event will be part of a wider EFL Trust
campaign that will see #NCSMatchday reach over 36 EFL, Premier League and
National League clubs across the country to highlight the positive work that
young people have done in their local communities.“I am really looking forward to celebrating the great work
our local teens have done in the community while taking part in NCS,” said
Pools skipper Ryan Donaldson.“NCS is a fantastic programme that gives young people the
chance to expand their horizons by getting involved in new activities and
challenges, whilst also making great friends and benefitting the local area.”As part of the campaign, Pools players will be warming-up in
NCS t-shirts ahead of Saturday's game to help spread the word and celebrate the
youngsters involved in the various projects in this area.Click here now for more information on NCS and how you can get involved.
