Loan star Gary Liddle has insisted Pools are in good shape
to continue their strong home form on Saturday as his former club Notts County
Liddle enjoyed a hugely successful two-year stint with The
Magpies after leaving Pools in 2012, during which he won a host of individual
awards and he was recently voted in to their Team of the Decade. However, the 33-year-old will leave any sentiment on the sidelines
on Saturday when he lines-up back in Pools colours hoping to help Dave
Challinor's men claw back ground on the play-off places.County arrive at The Vic sitting sixth in the table but
Pools are a mere four points behind them and Liddle is confident they can drag themselves
right back in to the mix with a good result this weekend.“It's a big game,” he told Pools TV.
“We spent last week preparing and working for the way that SolihullMoors play but Notts County are a different animal so everything changes again.
“Just like last week, we've got some good work in on the
training ground and we're looking to carry on the good home form that we've had
recently.“It will be good to play against them because I have alwaysenjoyed coming up against Notts County in the past.
“We obviously have a couple of games coming up against teamsabove us so we can have a direct impact on those.
“There are teams that still have games in hand on us but if we can catch a couple of them on points and even get ahead of them then it will be great for us.”
