Pools sign Rhys Oates

1 August 2020

Hartlepool

United have completed the signing of a familiar face as Rhys Oates returns for

his second spell at the club.

Between 2015-2018 the forward made 109 appearances for Pools and was admired for his hard work, determination, and versatility to play in many positions as an attacker.

In 2018,

Rhys went on to sign for league two side Morecambe F.C. and after 44 appearances

over two seasons, he has now signed a permanent deal at The Vic.

Despite

this being his second spell at the club, Oates has never worked with gaffer

Dave Challinor but the manager is delighted to get him back:

“We all

know about Rhys' great ability, I have admired him for a few years and as a

player, you know he's got that determined attitude that we need in this squad.

Fans know what to expect from him and he knows a few of the lads already so he

is the perfect fit going into the busy season”

Rhys will

join with the rest of the squad straight away as they prepare for the new

season ahead.
