Midfielder Mark Shelton has re-joined the club on apermanent deal after a successful loan spell last season.
Shelton joined the club in January 2019 from hisparent club Salford City and made 14 appearances with three goals.
Shelton
came through the ranks at Burton Albion before making a name for himself during
a successful spell at Alfreton Town which persuaded Salford to pay money for
him in 2017.During his time with City, he played his part in back-to-back promotions, helping The Ammies drive up from National League North to claim their place in the EFL.
Following his release from Salford, Pools
manager Dave Challinor was over the moon to get the young midfielder back to
the club:‘We're
delighted to have Shelton back, he had a great impact on the squad when he came
in January. He's an asset in midfield and as we saw, he was adding goals to his
game which is always helpful'.Mark will join with the rest of the squad straight away as they prepare for the new season ahead.
