Jake
Simpson has joined the club as the new head of Sports Science at Hartlepool
The Ex-Pro Player for Blackburn, Shrewsbury Town and Stockport County graduated from a degree in sports rehabilitation and also completed a Masters in Strength and conditioning.
Simpson
previously worked at Carlisle United during his Masters and got the lead role
as strength and conditioning coach at chesterfield under Jack Lester in the
2017/18 season.Jake then moved to Fylde with manager Dave Challinor, again as lead strength and conditioning coach and worked there from 2018-20.
Jake spoke tous about his delight of joining the team:
“Knowing Dave
was always a huge bonus to coming to Hartlepool but it's a big club with excellent
facilities and an excellent team. I've been at training the last couple of
weeks and they are all a good set of lads and I am excited as we prepare for a
big season ahead”.
