Gus Mafuta has left the club to join fellow National League side Boreham Wood FC.
The strong battling Midfielder joined the club in the summer of 2019 from Salford and went on to make 30 appearances for Pools with 3 goals.
Before Salford, Gus started with Colchester United youth team and later went on to Bristol City Youth and to captain their under-23's team. Mafuta then signed for Gateshead FC ahead of the 2015/16 season where he made over 60 appearances for the club. From there he joined Salford.
Dave Challinor spoke recently about Gus' move:
"Gus is a great player and has always given his all for the club in the time I've been here. I wish him all the best for his move to Boreham".
Everyone at Hartlepool United wishes Gus Mafuta all the best.
