Buster isback!
A club
legend has returned as Ian ‘Buster' Gallagher has joined Dave Challinor's team
as head Physiotherapist.Buster
spent 25 years at the club as a staff member and player before leaving the club
in 2017. Ian went on to spend the last 3 years with York City F.C. but now he
is back.He made one appearance for the club, in 1996, before being
forced to retire due to a knee injury and he trained to become a physio. He was
appointed head physio in 2012 and quickly became a fan favourite. The club have
now joined forces with Ian's company ‘First Team Therapy' and are excited for
Buster to join the squad.Buster spoke to the club on his move back:
“I'm coming home! I can't explain how delighted I am to be a
apart of the great team and great club once again. I want to thank York City
for the last few years, it has been great but now its time for me to come home.
I want to say a huge thank you to the gaffer Dave, he is a big reason for me
returning and I cannot wait to get started”Buster will join Jake Simpson to form the club's medicalteam.
