United are delighted to announce Aaron Cunningham has signed a contract
Aaron has
enjoyed a couple of breakthrough years where he has gone onto make several
pools appearances and earn vital experience out on loan.Cunningham featured on 11 occasions for
Pools last season and then went onto spend the second half of the 2019/20
season at Blyth Spartans.Comfortable in the centre of defence or in a midfield
anchor role, the combative Cunningham progressed excellently through the ranks
over the years during his time in the Academy and progressing onto the first
team.An ankle problem blighted the third year of his scholarship
but he showed enough promise to feature over the years which has now merited a
contract extension.Dave Challinor spoke about Aaron's recent progress:
“He's back training now and looks in good shape to be fair. He's got the bit between his teeth and wants to push to be starting and having a positive season”.
