Pools Youth Team are back in action on Wednesday afternoon
when they make the trip to face AFC Fylde in the National League Academy North
After victory over Alfreton Town in their opening game of
the new campaign a fortnight ago, Ian McGuckin's youngster will hope to put
more points on the board against The Coasters.“We're looking forward to it,” he told us.
“We want to build on the first game of the season, improveon that performance and embrace the challenge that Fylde will provide for us.
“It's our first away game in a new league so we excited tosee what it holds and the lads can't wait to get out there.
“With a blank week in the league schedule we organised a
friendly with Guisborough last week which was good so we'll try and plan games
like that well in advance to ensure the players get enough game time throughout
the season.”McGuckin is without midfielder Conner Rennison who is
nursing a knee injury while Oliver Thompson is sidelined through suspension
following his red card on the opening day. We'll have a report and reaction from the game here on theOfficial Website later.
