Pools Women look to continue their perfect start to the new campaignwhen they make the trip to Farsley Celtic on Sunday (2pm kick-off).
Having followed up their 11-1 thrashing of Carlisle United
in the FA Cup with an 8-0 victory over York City in their opening league game,
Pools will travel to West Yorkshire in high spirits. They will also be boosted by the return of several key
players, with Caitlin Bates and Robyn Foster returning to the squad and new
signing Savanna Robson available for the first time. The emphatic nature of their win over York means Pools go in
to the weekend sitting top of the pile but will know they can't afford to take
anything for granted against Farsley Celtic. The hosts enjoyed an encouraging opening day themselves last
weekend when they picked up an eye-catching 2-1 win away at Harrogate Town so
will hope to build on that against Pools.“It will be a tough game against Farsley Celtic because they
will be full of confidence after their great win,” admitted Pools boss Jonathan
Gibbon-Hayes.“However, after scoring 19 goals in two games I have every
faith in the squad that if we stick together and play our own game that we can
come away with the three points.“It's becoming really difficult to pick a 16 at the moment
with the quality we have in the squad so we'll have some hard decisions to make
before Sunday.”The game takes place at Throstle Nest at 2pm on Sunday andentry is free to all supporters.
