Pools Fans Unite In Fight Against Racism

25 September 2019

It was a night for unity.

On Tuesday, all Hartlepool United supporters, players and

staff came together to make it absolutely clear that there is no place for

racism at Victoria Park.

The Club has challenged head-on the despicable events which marred Saturday's fixture against Dover Athletic – and Tuesday's game with Chesterfield was a chance to send out a strong message.

Our ‘Love Pools, Hate Racism' drive saw supporters display

specially printed banners upon the players making their way on to the pitch for

kick-off.

It made for a powerful and poignant moment, but one we hope

can drive home the message that discrimination of any kind simply has no place

in the game we love.

Thank you to everyone who got behind us on Tuesday, whether in person or on social media – we will continue to work hard on your behalf to show the world that we are a friendly, community Club, free from prejudice.
