Pools recently made a donation to Hartlepool Foodbank, dropping in a box of football socks that can be distributed ahead of the winter

And while making the delivery, Pools Chief Executive Mark Maguire got a glimpse of the hard work being carried out by staff and volunteers.

“It's humbling for us to see the fantastic work being carried out at the foodbank.

“And if we can help in some small way then it is the very least we can do, we are at the centre of the community and we firmly believe that we should live up the responsibility that comes with that.”

With over 90% of the food distributed in foodbanks being donated by the public, your help really does make a difference.

Items currently needed by Hartlepool Foodbank:
Tinned fruit
Savoury snacks
Tinned vegetables
Tinned meat
UHT milk
Sweet snacks
Pasta sauce

You can donate to the Foodbank at any of the following outlets in Hartlepool:

Tesco Extra, Belle Vue Way (24 hour)
Morrisons, Clarence Road (8am – 10pm)
Asda, Marina Way (24 hour)
Sainsburys, Murray Street (6am – 11pm)
Sainsburys, Station Lane (6am – 11pm)
