Pools were made to pay for a slow start as Stockport County scored twice in the first 21 minutes at Edgeley Park to take full control of our televised trip to Cheshire.
Craig Hignett's men improved after the break and Nicke Kabamba grabbed a goal back five minutes before the end but Pools couldn't find the all-important leveller in the time that remained.
