Pools Youth Team are back on home soil on Wednesday
afternoon when they host Guiseley in the NLFA at Welfare Park in Blackhall (2pm
It will be the first time since the 2-1 defeat to Chester in
the League Cup at the start of last month that Pools have played at home so
they will be hoping to turn in a strong performance.It's also the first chance that Ian McGuckin's youngsters
have had to register some league points since the opening month of the
campaign.“We're really looking forward to the game,” McGuckinadmitted.
“There have been lots of cup games in recent weeks but we do
want to do well in the league so ideally we'd like to try and get on a bit of a
run if we can.“We know Guiseley will give us a tough game but the lads
have been working hard and we want to see plenty of the things we've done in
training coming out in the game.”Conner Rennison remains the only absentee from McGuckin'ssquad as the young midfielder recovers from a serious knee injury.
Kick-off at Welfare Park is at 2pm and entry is free for allsupporters.
