Ebbsfleet United v Hartlepool United
National League
Saturday 16th November, 3pm
The Kuflink Stadium
In Opposition
Ebbsfleet United have rallied in recent weeks after enduring a poor start to the 2019/20 National League campaign.
The Kent outfit lost all of their first five games this term
to leave them playing catch-up and, despite picking up a little in early
September, they hit another tricky run moving in to October. The struggle for points led to Garry Hill's departure as
boss and Kevin Watson did enough during his spell in caretaker charge to secure
the top job on a permanent basis at the start of this month.Back-to-back victories at Sutton United and Chorley helped
lift The Fleet off the bottom of the table but now they will be focused on
improving their form at home where they've won just one of their ten games this
season.One To Watch
Front man Alex Reid has fired five goals in all competitions for Ebbsfleet United since joining the club on loan from Stevenage in the opening month of the campaign.
The 24-year-old spent time on loan at AFC Fylde last season
where he worked under Dave Challinor so the new Pools boss will have his
players on red alert this weekend.Reid came through the ranks with Aston Villa has plenty of
National League experience having also made loan moves to Wrexham and Solihull
Moors in recent years.Head To Head
Saturday's game will be only the fifth time the two clubs have met in competitive action and Pools are still awaiting their first victory over The Fleet.
The closest they've come was a goalless draw when the sides
last played back in February but the three previous encounters before that one
have all gone Ebbsfleet's way.Last Meeting

On The Whistle
Lloyd Wood will take charge of his second Pools game on Saturday when he's the man in the middle for our trip to Ebbsfleet United.

League's list of referees but he didn't oversee any Pools fixtures during his
first campaign. The only occasion we've been under his watch was at
Eastleigh back in September when he saw us draw 1-1 with The Spitfires at
Silverlake Stadium.Live Commentary
