Pools fan Jonathan Hare is set for a very happy Christmasafter he scooped a £1,000 jackpot on the Club's Goldline Lottery.
The Oxford Road resident was going about his daily business
when he received a telephone call informing him of his windfall win – and he
admitted the news nearly caused him to pass out!“I was just in total shock,” he laughed.
“I was actually out shopping with my mam at the time and I
honestly nearly collapsed there and then in the middle of Billingham town
centre!“It's just a total surprise but the timing is great and
there'll be some nice presents being bought for a few people this year, that's
for sure.“As well as that, we're also doing a bit of decorating in
the house at the moment so it helps with that and gives us a bit more breathing
space over Christmas.”A station supervisor on the railways, Jonathan has been
playing the Goldline Lottery for almost ten years but admitted he never really
expected to win big.“I have had a few £10 and £20 wins here and there over theyears – but nothing like this!” he revealed.
“To be honest, I play the Goldline because I know the money goes
towards the development of young players at the Club and that's something I
want to support so I will continue to do so.”
