Women's Team Star Wins Hat-Trick Of Awards

23 May 2019

Justine Robinson was the big winner at our Women's Team presentation night as she scooped no fewer than three awards for her performances during 2018/19.

The skipper was always likely to be picking up silverware after she enjoyed a terrific campaign, top scoring from midfield with 25 goals as Pools finished runners-up in the NERWFL Premier Division.

Robinson was recognised for her outstanding displays by being named both Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year in Friday’s bash at the Tech Rugby Club.

The 29-year-old was also presented with a Player of The Vic trophy after blasting an astonishing four goals in the Women’s annual game on the First Team pitch when they beat Wallsend 7-1 in April.

Robinson’s awards top off a fine few weeks for the Hartlepool-born star, after she became the first female to win the Club’s Goal of the Month prize for her long-range third against Wallsend.

Long-serving midfield enforcer Sarah Rowbotham won one of the sponsors’ Player of the Year awards, while full-back Aimee Stabler won the other after starring in her first season at the Club.

Well done to all the winners!
