Gavan Holohan Agrees New Pools Deal

20 May 2019

Gavan Holohan has committed his future to Pools after putting pen to paper on a new contract with the Club on Monday afternoon.

The 27-year-old midfielder has agreed terms on a fresh deal after initially arriving at The Super 6 Stadium in February on a short-term contract.

Holohan had to bide his time while the Club waited for international clearance, but the former Hull City schemer forced his way in to the team during the closing stages of the 2018/19 campaign.

The Irishman impressed fans with his energetic, box-to-box style as he made seven appearances in total, scoring in the 1-1 draw at Aldershot Town in April.

He also did enough to impress boss Craig Hignett who has moved quickly to tie him down to an extended contract and ensure he’s part of the squad for the new season.

Holohan is the second player to agree terms with the Club this summer after front man Nicke Kabamba joined on a permanent basis last week.
