Tuesday night saw the annual clash between two sets of supporters who had bid to play in the Home and Away Teams – managed by Craig Hignett and Antony Sweeney.
Indeed, Hignett was forced in to a Player/Manager role due to a family emergency for one of his line-up and the Pools boss slotted in to the Home Team's engine room.
With more experience on their side, the Home Team soon began to take the game by the scruff of the neck and eventually ran out 9-1 winners during an enjoyable night of football.
