Lewis Hawkins has joined Spennymoor Town on loan until the end of the season.

The midfielder spent just over a month on loan at York City earlier in the campaign before returning to The Super 6 Stadium to fight for his place.

However, having started the Boxing Day game at Gateshead, Hawkins has made only three further appearances from the bench and has now been allowed to join The Moors.

Jason Ainsley’s side – who have former Pools star Tommy Miller as Assistant Manager – sit third in National League North but have slipped ten points behind leaders Chorley after a run of four without a win.

Hawkins will link-up with his new teammates in time to go in to contention for Saturday’s game against Alfreton Town at The Brewery Field.
