Team News: Barnet v Pools

14 March 2019

We take a look at the latest info from both camps ahead of Saturday’s National League game against Barnet at The Hive (3pm kick-off).

Craig Hignett must decide whether to make any changes to his starting eleven following Tuesday night’s defeat at AFC Fylde when Pools make the trip to Barnet this weekend.

The Pools boss has no new injury concerns ahead of the encounter with The Bees, while midfielder Gavan Holohan comes in to contention for the first time after the Club received international clearance.

Aaron Cunningham is working back to fitness after a calf problem but Saturday may come too soon for the young defender, while Conor Newton is still nursing a knee injury.

Carl Magnay is making good progress following knee surgery and isn’t too far away and Luke Williams is stepping things up in training and is also closing in on a return to action.

Barnet boss Darren Currie will be able to call upon Shaq Coulthirst on Saturday after the front man was forced to sit out their midweek contest with FC Halifax Town through suspension.

Wes Fonguck was restored to the starting eleven on Tuesday and is likely to keep his place for the visit of Pools after scoring The Bees’ goal in their 1-1 draw with The Shaymen.
