Season Can't Come Quick Enough - Crichlow-Noble

30 July 2019

Romoney Crichlow-Noble has admitted he's counting down the

days until the big kick-off after joining Pools on a season-long loan from

Huddersfield Town.

The 20-year-old defender linked-up with the Club a fortnight

ago with a view to developing a move and has impressed boss Craig Hignett in

training and in his trio of friendly outings.

Now the deal to bring him to the North-East has been sealed,

the former Enfield left-back says he is raring to go after getting a taste of

life at Pools during the pre-season campaign.

“I've enjoyed it a lot and I'm buzzing to get the dealdone,” he told us.

“The lads have been very welcoming, along with the staff at

the Club too. The sessions have been great; the intensity and the quality is

high so I am excited to continue, to be honest.

“I genuinely can't wait for the season to start now, I justwant to get going and get some games under my belt for Hartlepool.

“It's been a good head-start for me coming in to train with

the lads before the loan deal was done – it's given me time to get comfortable

with the lads and with the environment at training.

“I think there is a lot less pressure for me coming in nowbecause I already know the players who will be around me at the Club.

“I've really enjoyed the games and that's given the chance to work out exactly who I am playing with and really get used to the way everyone plays.

“I genuinely can't wait for the season to start now, I justwant to get going and get some games under my belt for Hartlepool.”

The powerful and athletic left-back gained his first taste

of senior football during a loan stay at Bradford (Park Avenue) in the second

half of last term.

That experience only whetted his appetite for more First

Team football and now he's ready to step up his game and prove his worth with

Pools in the National League.

“I had a good half-season at Bradford last year and it wasgood because that got me playing men's football.

“This season it's about improving and developing myself

further and I am hoping that stepping up to play in a better league can help me

become a better player.

“The Manager here has told me to express myself going

forward. I know I need to be sound defensively too but he's just encouraged me

to enjoy the experience.

“It's an exciting time to be joining this Club and I justwant to do as much as I can to help the team to be successful.

“I am literally counting down the days now – I can't wait toget going.”
