Nicke Kabamba admitted he was loving life at Pools after scoring for the second successive game to help the team to a crucial 2-1 win over Braintree Town on Saturday.
The on-loan front man was also on target during the televised game at Harrogate Town last weekend but revealed that his second goal feels sweeter given that it led to a victory.
Kabamba stooped to head home the leveller early in the second half as Pools came from behind to register an important win and draw a line under a dramatic week at The Super 6 Stadium.
“I am over the moon but it’s better this time round because we got the three points,” Kabamba told Pools PlayerHD.
“The first half was hard, I don’t think we got the ball down as much as we wanted to but we had a good half-time team-talk and things changed for us.
“We had more going forward and that’s what got us the goals but it was just a good team performance all-round.
“For my goal it was a great delivery from the left and it’s something we’ve been working on in training all week.
“I knew the ball was perfect and all I had to do was glance it across goal so I managed to get a clean connection on it and it’s hit the back of the net.
“It was a great feeling to see all the fans going crazy because they’ve been waiting for a result and finally we gave them that.
“The fans seem to be taking to me which is nice and I’m scoring goals as well so I am in a good place right now.”
