Pools Drawn At Home In Challenge Cup Semi-Final

25 January 2019

Pools will host Shildon in the semi-finals of the Durham County Challenge Cup.

The draw for the last four was made at Durham FA headquarters on Thursday and Pools have been handed home advantage against Shildon.

Pools travelled to play Shildon in pre-season when goals from Lewis Hawkins, Jake Cassidy, Luke James and Niko Muir ensured a 4-0 win at Dean Street.

There are a few former Pools players in the current Shildon squad, including Matty Robson who came through the ranks and went on to make 170 appearances for the Club.

Pools have made it through to the semi-finals after victories over Sunderland Westend, Ryton & Crawcrook Albion and Darlington.

Semi-final ties are due to be played in the week preceding Saturday 2nd March and we’ll have full details here on the Official Website once a date has been confirmed.
