Richard Money has been dealt a blow with the news that top scorer Liam Noble is set for up to six weeks on the sidelines with a calf strain.
Noble has struck 12 goals from midfield this season but has been playing through the pain barrier during the Club’s festive schedule and was sent for a scan earlier this week.
The results revealed damage to the tendon in his calf and he’s now been told he can expect to be out of action for four to six weeks.
“I think he first felt it in the Gateshead game but we’ve been trying to manage it,” explained Money.
“But it’s obviously got worse since then so we felt it necessary to get the scan done and now we know we’re without him for a period of time.
“The good thing is we do have options in that position so it gives somebody else a chance to come in and show me what they can do.”
