Pools Women’s Team will aim to keep the pressure on their rivals at the top of the table on Sunday when they host York City at Dyke House (2pm kick-off).

After returning to winning ways with a 4-2 triumph at Wallsend a fortnight ago, Craig Devon’s side were left frustrated when last weekend’s game against Tynedale fell victim to the weather.

Pools are taking no such chances this Sunday and have switched their fixture against York to the artificial pitch at Dyke House to ensure it can go ahead.

Currently lying third in the North East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division, Pools are just a point behind second-placed South Shields so will hope to take advantage of any slip-up.

Pools ran out 5-1 winners when they travelled to York earlier in the season and will hope to complete a league double over the seventh-placed outfit this weekend.

Sunday’s game at Dyke House kicks-off at 2pm and is free entry for all supporters so please get along to support the Women’s Team if you can.
