Pools Players Make Local School Visits

Mark Kitching and Ryan Catterick visited Sacred Heart Primary School

Keith Nobbs brings a review of two recent player visits to local schools as part of Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation’s work.

Last week we were lucky enough to have Pools players attend two of our after school sessions,

On Wednesday 30th January Aaron Cunningham and Kenton Richardson attended Golden Flatts Primary School to join in with the boys and girls.

The players took part in a question and answer session and then joined in with the activities which included shooting and passing drills.

On Thursday 31st January Ryan Catterick and Mark Kitching popped down to Sacred Heart to our girls’ afterschool session, which is part of our Premier League Primary Stars project.

Again, some probing questions were put to the players before Ryan stepped up in goal to let the girls take shots against him. His competitive nature came out though and he proved very hard to beat!

Both Mark and Ryan captained teams in activities throughout the hour-long session but there were some questionable techniques employed to ensure their teams won….!

Thanks to all four players for their support last week.

Keith
