Dave Challinor is crossing his fingers that the injury
picked up by Luke James on Tuesday night is not too serious, with the front man
James was forced off just before the hour mark with a groin
injury during the FA Cup replay win over Exeter City at The Vic and the Pools
boss admitted there are concerns it could be serious.“Luke has been carrying a little bit of a groin problem butbeen managing it,” Challinor told Pools TV.
“We've got a concern over how he might be and it would be a big
blow if we lost him for a significant period but if that's the case other players
will need to step up.“If we have to go in to the market to bring in replacements
then we'll do that but fingers crossed it's not too serious so we'll find out
as quickly as we can by getting him scanned.“As much for him as anything else, we hope it's not a long-term one.”
