Young Keeper Joins Pools On Loan

22 August 2019

Pools have completed the signing of young Middlesbrough goalkeeper Zach Hemming on loan until the New Year.

The 19-year-old prospect has been on the books at The

Riverside Stadium since 2013 and has featured for Boro at both Under-18 and

Under-23 level.

Hemming made three appearances during a loan stint with

Darlington last November and The Quakers enjoyed an unbeaten record with the

Bishop Auckland born star between the posts.

With Ryan Catterick on loan at Guisborough for the season and Brad Young gaining experience at Billingham Town, Craig Hignett has been looking to add another goalkeeper to his ranks.

The Pools boss checked on Hemming personally last week when he was in action for Boro's Under-23s against Stoke City.

Hignett had kept tabs on the talented youngster throughout the summer with a view to bringing him to the Club on loan and now Boro have given the green light.

A deal has been completed which which will see him link-up with Pools in time for the Bank Holiday weekend double-header and remain with the Club until 31st December.
