We Have To Be At Our Best - Hignett

16 August 2019

Craig Hignett has told his players they need to be right on

their game again this weekend as they welcome an in-form Bromley side to Victoria

Park.

The Pools boss was frustrated to see his side collect only a

point against AFC Fylde in midweek after leading 2-0 in the game but insisted

he has been happy with the overall output from the players.

After defeat in the opening two fixtures of the new campaign,

Hignett's men have collected four points from the last two and go in to the

weekend game with Bromley in good heart.

The Ravens have strengthened well over the summer and have

enjoyed a good start this time around and arrive at The Vic sitting fifth in

the table and unbeaten in their four outings so far.

“Bromley have had a really good start so we have to be onour toes,” Hignett told Pools TV.

“I know what they're about because I've seen their games.

They have scored goals, they look good on set-pieces, they'll put the ball in

our box and they have some good players.

“They beat us twice last year. They were really good against

us, particularly at their place where they gave us a bit of a going over so we

have to be on it, like we have to be week in and week out in this league.

“We're at home though so the onus will be on us to attack and we should be full of confidence after our last two games so my message to the players is just to do the same again.”
