Team News: Pools v AFC Fylde

12 August 2019

Craig Hignett will assess the fitness of front man Nicke

Kabamba after he was forced off through injury at half-time in Saturday's game

at Maidenhead United.

The striker landed awkwardly on his ankle so was replaced byNiko Muir, who slotted home the winning goal early in the second half.

Muir's strike has done his claims for a starting spot no

harm and he will hope he's done enough to force his way in to Hignett's line-up

for Tuesday's visit of AFC Fylde.

Ryan Donaldson proved his fitness after a calf problem by

playing 85 minutes at York Road on Saturday and the skipper will be hoping to

start again against The Coasters.

Myles Anderson is edging ever closer to a return after

missing some of the early part of pre-season, while Luke Molyneux is also

building fitness after a leg injury suffered in the friendly at York City last

month.

However, Josh Hawkes (hamstring) and Kenton Richardson(ankle) remain sidelined.

AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor must decide whether to rotate

his squad following their 1-0 win over Ebbsfleet United at Mill Farm on

Saturday.

The promotion-chasers have won two of their three games so

far but summer signings such as matty Kosylo and Jordan Williams will hope to

press their claims for a starting spot at The Vic.
