A boisterous contingent of Poolies were among a total crowd
of 1,330 at York Road and their backing from the terraces was rewarded on the
pitch as Niko Muir's second half goal clinched victory.Afterwards, Hignett admitted he was taken aback by the noise
created by the away fans and was delighted the team were able to send them home
happy.“They were unbelievable,” he told Pools TV.
“They didn't shut up from minute one to minute 95 – theywere just so good.
“When you sit on the bench and all you can hear is that itmust give the players a lift because it certainly gave me a lift.
“We've come here hoping for a result after two defeats and
you wonder how it will go – but the fans were absolutely sensational and I am
