McLaughlin Agrees Permanent York Move

30 April 2019

Paddy McLaughlin is set to make his move to National League North outfit York City permanent when his contract at The Super 6 Stadium expires at the end of June.

The midfielder joined Pools last summer and went on to make 28 appearances, scoring two goals, including the winner against former club Gateshead on New Year's Day.

However, he was subsequently on the fringe of the First Team at The Super 6 Stadium and was allowed to join The Minstermen on loan at the end of January.

McLaughlin has done well since his return to Bootham Crescent – where he made 88 appearances between 2011 and 2013 – and has convinced boss Steve Watson to offer him a permanent contract.

Everyone at Hartlepool United would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him every success in the future.
