James And Loach Scoop Top Awards For 2018/19

28 April 2019

Pools stars Luke James and Scott Loach were both celebrating before kick-off on Saturday after the duo won the top awards in our Player of the Year presentations.

James was named as the Fans' Player of the Year for 2018/19, while Loach was revealed as the Players' Player of the Year after a vote among the squad.

Front man James returned to the Club last summer and has played in all but one of Pools' National League games this term, scoring five goals but also chipping in with ten assists, more than any other player.

Goalkeeper Loach has been in extremely consistent form during 2018/19, keeping thirteen clean sheets and continuing his record of having played every minute of every game since joining the Club in the summer of 2017.

Loach also received a special presentation of a framed shirt prior to kick-off to mark the achievement of making his 100th consecutive start for the Club in the game with Salford City.

There was also silverware for Peter Kioso, as the defender was named as the Community Sports Foundation's Community Player of the Year following his work in the local community this season.

Well done to all the winners!
