Keith Nobbs brings us another update from the Community Sports Foundation's Easter Soccer Course...
Day 7 of our Easter Soccer Course was special for two reasons.
Firstly, we wanted to get involved in Alice House Hospice #purpleweek19 which is a cause both HUCSF and the Club strongly support.
Purple isn’t the easiest colour clothing to find but everyone made a great effort. I even had my hair sprayed purple!
We had cakes for sale made by one of our staff mums and I am very upset I didn’t get one myself but apparently they were delicious as they all disappeared.
We raised £48.17 and HUCSF are donating £1 for each of the 27 children who attended today bringing our total raised to £48.17.
Later in the day, we had our third and final player appearance of the week when Aaron Cunningham came to visit.
Aaron took his turn in goal and let the boys take shots against him and then had a Q&A session.
Every player who has visited over the past two weeks has been absolutely fantastic and we are so lucky to be able to give the children the opportunity to meet with their heroes.
The week is finally drawing to a close but we still have spaces left for Thursday at just £10.
