We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of Saturday’s game against Aldershot Town at The Super 6 Stadium (3pm kick-off).
Matthew Bates is waiting on the fitness of Niko Muir after the front man was forced off with a twisted ankle during Tuesday’s game at Salford City.
Muir will miss training on Thursday but the Pools boss revealed he is hoping to see him rejoin the rest of the squad on Friday and come in to contention for the weekend.
Ryan Donaldson is also eyeing up a return to training on Friday after missing the last two games with a hamstring problem and it’s yet to be seen whether he can be fit in time for Saturday.
Peter Kioso will definitely be free to push for a place back in the starting eleven after being forced to sit out the midweek defeat through suspension.
Luke Williams is hoping to get through the majority of Thursday’s session and prove his fitness in a bid to be included in Bates’ squad for the meeting with The Shots.
Aldershot boss Gary Waddock must decide whether Scott Rendell has recovered sufficiently from a hamstring injury to join the squad on their journey to the North-East.
The front man has missed the last three games but is now nearing fitness so could come back in to contention to face Pools on Saturday.
However, Karleigh Osborne could be a doubt after being forced off after just half an hour of their midweek home defeat to Maidstone United.
Shamir Fenelon and Marvin McCoy have also been sidelined for recent games and will be assessed ahead of the weekend trip.
